The Eastern Lowline Angus Association (ELAA) is a regional association focused on promoting moderate-framed Angus cattle, the American Lowline, in the eastern United States.
The ELAA was established in January 2008 and has been responsible for providing outstanding opportunities for Lowline producers to promote their cattle east of the Mississippi. In our short history, we have had five shows at the North American International Livestock Expo (NAILE), in Louisville, KY.
Association membership is open to ALR Lowline breeders who live within the following states:
Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina.
We have strong membership throughout the region and are working at making sure that the regional shows cover the complete region. See our events page to see where the shows are this year.
We have provided support for Ohio Beef Expo, New York State Fair, and The Big E. We have also supported independent Lowline shows in Lebanon, TN and Honey Brook, PA.
We publish a newsletter via email to all our members. Items include event announcements and information that is pertinent to raising Lowline cattle.
We strive to provide value to our members interested in learning more about Lowlines, looking for marketing outlets for beef and breeding stock as well as assisting with regional shows, clinics, and other ELAA events presented by the membership. We also value the importance of communicating with the our members so we publish a monthly newsletter that is emailed to all active members as well as provide email blast to annouce upcoming ELAA events. These are just a few of the ways we work to accomplish our goal of promoting Lowlines through out the East and the United States.
